The News & Record reports here that a Wake County judge ruled today that the Quran can be used to swear in witnesses in North Carolina courtrooms.
The ruling applies to other religious texts as well.
The ACLU is a plaintiff, as is Syidah Mateen, a Muslim woman who said she was denied the use of the Quran in a Guilford County court.
