John McNeill Smith of Greensboro, acclaimed civil rights attorney and founding chair of the NCBA’s Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities Section, died Jan. 15 at the age of 92.
A memorial service for the former state legislator will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, at the West Market Street United Methodist Church.
